The Soulful Numbers offer a repertoire ranging from jazz standards such as “The man I love” or “Summertime”, to pop songs from the likes of Cindy Lauper (“Time after time”) and Norah Jones (“Sunrise”), from hits by The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Bob Dylan to classic blues (“Stormy Monday” and “Sweet Home Chicago”), from the soul of Aretha Franklin to the vintage rock’n’roll by Elvis, Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochran.
The 5 strings banjo and the mandolin lend a country-folk feeling to many of the songs, and the distinctive sound of the dobro, a metallic guitar, takes the listener back to the smoky atmosphere of the Mississipi juke-joints.
In November 2007 the Soulful Numbers played with Carmelo La Bionda at the "San Babila Theatre" in Milan.
Carmelo La Bionda is a famous Record Producer and owner of the Logic Studios in Milan (studio where recorded artists such as Paul Young and Laura Pausini among the others), disco dance artist who recorded many a hit like “One for me one for you” with “I Fratelli La Bionda” and wrote soundtracks for several movies with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.
